I’m a 43-year-old mother of two living in Vienna. Since my youth, I’ve had a wide waist and slightly protruding ribs. No matter how much weight I lost, my waist looked thick. I’ve tried a lot of exercise and diet, and I still do. But it never worked.

According to my doctor, Dr. Ersöz adapted the cryoanalgesia technique he has been using for years to correct rib and chest deformities. I learned that other methods in other countries perform the procedure in clinics that don’t even have hospital-like facilities, and because they lack the necessary service, they send patients to their hotel on the evening of the procedure. In contrast, Dr. Ersöz and his team assured me that the surgery would be performed in a JCI-accredited, 5-star hospital with the comfort of a hotel, and that my post-operative care would continue there (the Ribella Turkey experience).
Other methods didn’t include services like plane tickets, airport pickup, and city transfers. Dr. Ersöz’s team, however, assured me they could provide all of these services themselves. “Just think about how your waistline will shrink,” they said. This statement instantly relieved me of all my stress, and I felt in safe hands.
Moreover, I was informed that after the surgery, I would receive free herbal supplements and medical treatments, which I learned would cost €400 to accelerate my recovery and that I would use for three months. The pre-operative CT scan was also included free of charge.

Ribella Price-Performance Balance
Despite all this, the surgery price (Ribella price) was quite reasonable compared to the procedure performed in France. The total fee charged by Ribella for all these services was equivalent to the surgeon’s fee alone for the other method.
Scientific Approach and Trust
After reading the article I was sent in detail, I clearly felt the confidence that comes from a thoracic surgeon who prioritizes aesthetics over health. Dr. Ersöz’s 17 years of thoracic surgery experience and his scientific explanation of the procedure strengthened my decision. Ultimately, I decided to have the procedure in Turkey, not Paris or Peru. However, I wanted to meet with the doctor online before finalizing my decision.
Online Consultation and Scheduling Process
I applied for an online consultation (online Ribella consultation) on June 26th for a small fee. I asked the doctor all my questions, and he answered them all eloquently. I then finalized my decision and scheduled my surgery for September 6th.
After the online consultation, I was sent informational PDFs and a surgical consent form. This way, I was informed of any potential medical complications before making any payments. The consent form was written in very clear language, and sending it in advance gave me a great sense of security. When I went to Turkey, they issued the same form again; this time, they requested a wet signature, and we signed the necessary documents there. Because I had read the form beforehand, I signed it without hesitation.
Travel to Turkey and Surgery Day
After finalizing my decision about surgery before arriving in Turkey, I securely made a down payment with my credit card using the virtual POS link sent to me by the clinic staff. I was then issued travel health and security insurance. Frankly, this insurance provided me with immense peace of mind and confirmed once again how wise I had made the decision.
Just imagine, if I had a problem with the Ribella method, the insurance would cover the cost of visiting a doctor in Vienna. Or, if I had to return to Turkey, the insurance would cover all expenses, including my flight ticket, re-intervention (if necessary), hospital expenses, and so on!
I can’t even begin to describe how much peace of mind it gave me. Furthermore, thanks to the travel health insurance included in the same policy, I was also covered for non-surgical situations (such as accidents), which reinforced my confidence.
Not only did the insurance cover me, but the Dr. Curver Clinic staff handled everything, including my flight ticket, as promised. They picked me up from the airport in a VIP vehicle. I felt safe from the moment I entered the clinic.
Dr. Hasan and his team made me feel very comfortable. The 3D body scan and measurements performed by Zeynep Hanım, and the planning discussions with Arda Bey, highlighted the professionalism of the process. My 3D scans were meticulously repeated several times. My height, weight, breast, waist, and hip measurements were meticulously taken. Then, Dr. Hasan drew the surgical plan on my body with a medical marking pen.
Believe me, this initial assessment wasn’t a simple examination; it was like a planning session, a redesign of my waist. They meticulously and meticulously designed my waistline according to the golden ratio after just 1.5 hours.
I was amazed when I put on the VR headset. Imagine… Two 3D images of me stood in the middle of the room: one of me with a slimmer waist, the other of me before the procedure. I spun around them, examining them from every angle.
It was as if I were meeting my future self.
Then they asked me if I liked it. It was beautiful, but because I was worried people around me would notice I’d had Ribella (I didn’t want anyone to know I’d had it), I asked for my waist to look a little more natural.

They settled me in my room. At Dr. Ersöz’s direction, a CT scan was performed to better visualize my ribs.
When I returned to my room, seeing Dr. Ersöz and his team before me gave me a great sense of relief.
They explained that I would be taken to the operating room shortly and provided the necessary information to both me and the nurses.
The nurses then dressed me in an operating gown and escorted me to the operating room with smiling faces.
In the operating room, I made eye contact with Dr. Hasan, who was wearing a mask; he truly inspires confidence.
The anesthesia team was also very friendly and put me to sleep very well.
When I woke up, I was wearing my custom-made waist corset, and my waist looked tiny.
I only felt a slight ache.
When I mentioned this to the nurses in the operating room recovery room, they immediately injected a mild painkiller, which stopped after consulting my doctor.
I felt no pain at all during the entire procedure.
Then they wheeled me back to my room.
Thankfully, the nurses were always friendly and helpful.
They helped me put on my underwear and pajamas.
The nurses’ attention and the little support they gave me in the first few days were so beneficial.
When I looked in the mirror, it was like a miracle. My waist was tiny. This lifted my spirits tremendously.
The next day, Dr. Hasan and another nurse from his team came for a checkup.
They told me I needed to wear my corset every five hours and then remove it for the next hour to allow my skin to breathe.
When I removed the corset, I only saw a few tiny pinpoint spots on my waist.
I realized then that the procedure was truly scarless and had no stitches. This was very important to me.
Dr. Hasan is a very kind, sweet, and sympathetic doctor. Everything went exactly as he had described before the surgery.
They delivered all the medications I needed for three months in a stylish bag.
They provided me with a document that would eliminate any problems at customs and a Fit to Fly certificate to make things easier at the airport.
Thanks to this document, I didn’t have to carry any luggage at the airport; I boarded the plane with the assistance of a wheelchair, skipping the lines.
I also received a guidebook in the bag with detailed information on medication and corset use.
Every detail, from the Arnica cream to the herbal supplement program, was listed specifically for me.
Post-Surgery Surprise and Motivation Boost
A special surprise had been prepared for me for that evening. The “tourism” part of Türkiye’s famous health tourism experience was about to begin.
They gifted me a beautiful pair of black heels and a thin, elegant black dress.
Then they told me they had arranged a social program and got permission from the hospital to take me out for a few hours.
First, we went to a hair salon where I had my hair and makeup done, and then I put on my dress.
The personalized corset was so thin that it didn’t show even under that delicate dress.
When I looked in the mirror, I couldn’t believe my eyes.
I literally fell in love with myself.
I had never had such body contour in my entire life.
At that moment, I said: “I’m so glad I did this!” They made me unbelievably happy.
After leaving the salon with the Dr. Curver team, a VIP car picked us up and took us to a luxury seaside restaurant located in Konak Pier — a historical port transformed into a modern venue overlooking the İzmir Bay.
We enjoyed a delicious dinner accompanied by wonderful music.

Afterwards, they took me back to the hospital.
Following one more night at the hospital (in total: 1 night at the hotel and 2 nights in the hospital), Dr. Hasan performed my final check-up and I was discharged.
I received my discharge report (epicrisis) prepared professionally in English.
Once again, a private vehicle took me to the airport.
Thanks to the Fit to Fly certificate I mentioned earlier, I was able to board the plane without waiting in line, using wheelchair assistance.
I didn’t even need to carry my luggage.
Everything worked like a dream; every detail had been thought through for me, and now I was on my way home.
Visually, I was noticeably slimmer, and this made me incredibly happy.
With this feeling, I boarded my flight and returned home.
Ribella Results & Follow-Up Process
I want to add that not only Dr. Hasan but the entire team was extremely caring and kind.
Ms. Zeynep called me frequently — before the surgery, during my stay in Türkiye, and even after I returned home — to check on me and see how I was doing.
I could reach her whenever I needed, and she patiently answered all my questions.
At home, I followed everything Dr. Hasan instructed. I took all the medications and supplements he prescribed.
I rested during the first week and easily returned to work (I work in banking, an office job).
If I have to mention a downside:
Wearing the corset for two months after the surgery was a bit tiring, but it was definitely worth it for such perfect results.
Also, coughing, sneezing, or making sudden movements caused brief pain — but only for a few seconds.
Still, it was absolutely manageable.
At first, I looked extremely slim while wearing the corset, but once I took it off, it felt like my body was going back to its old form.
I was terrified: “What if the results aren’t permanent?”
But during my WhatsApp calls with Zeynep, she told me to be patient and reassured me.
After day 15, the results gradually started to appear. Even without the corset, I was becoming closer to the body shape I had seen in the simulation.
By the end of the first month, the results were becoming permanent.
As Dr. Hasan recommended, I continued wearing the corset until the end of the second month.
Follow-Up Visit & Measurement Results
At first, I thought: “Why should I travel to Türkiye again just for a check-up?”
But they had made me so happy… and the result was so beautiful…
To maintain this amazing outcome and to feel at peace psychologically, I decided to go back for my second-month follow-up.
During my visit, the same measurements taken before the surgery were repeated.
It was unbelievable!
My waist circumference had gone from 90 cm to 72 cm — a total difference of 18 cm!
Dr. Hasan explained that this level of change isn’t the same for everyone, and because I started with a thicker waist, the transformation became more dramatic in my case.
He also added that their typical results are around 10–12 cm.
Dr. Hasan examined my rib stabilization using ultrasound.
Then I was taken to a nearby imaging center for a CT scan.
The results were perfect; the bones were completely stabilized.
He told me I no longer had to wear the corset during the day — only at night for up to six months would be enough.
He advised me to reduce the usage gradually (third month: 8 hours daily, fourth month: 6 hours, fifth month: 4 hours, sixth month: 2 hours).
Once again, I boarded my plane feeling the positive energy of Dr. Hasan Ersöz and his entire team.
This time, I was flying home without a corset — returning with my newly sculpted tiny waist.
I no longer needed to hide my ribs with my hands while lying on a sunbed, because those protrusions were completely gone.
The slimness of my waist gave me tremendous self-confidence.
Even my husband noticed the difference immediately; his attention toward me felt like it had increased even more.
